Tina, our OG resident Sauce Boss, started her saucier career early in life, inheriting a love for cooking from the delectably spicy West African cuisine of her heritage and the complex Caribbean flavors found in the communities she grew up in. Her signature sauce, Momma Knows Best, is a bold interpretation of her mother's own Sierra Leonean classic, which was a staple of family holidays, picnics, and parties.

However, Momma was notorious for not using precise measurements, so as she passed this hallowed recipe down to Tina, a bit of creativity was employed to bring the flavors of the much-loved red sauce to life. What started as a DIY labor-of-love in Tina’s tiny kitchen leveled up with the opportunity to enter a hot sauce festival in 2022. There was only one option: enter Momma’s sauce and see how it does. Well, it’s safe to say things went well, with Tina taking home the Gold medal! With Tina’s Jerk marinade (a sauce she’s been making since she was in school) reeling in the silver. After this fantastic performance, demand for her potent pepper potions exploded, and Tina decided to bring her game to the big time.
